Storyline : Black Swan is psychological thriller, directed by Darren Aronofsky. The plot revolves around the production of The Swan Lake ballet by a high profile New York City company. The lead ballerina is required to portray both the innocent White Swan and the sensual Black Swan. Nina (Portman) is identified as perfect for the role of the White Swan but the director Leroy (Cassel) believes that Nina lacks the fluidity which is required to portray the Black Swan. Nina's darker side comes to the fore when she realizes that Lily (Kunis) has a personality that matches the Black Swan and that she might replace her in the lead role. After several bouts with hallucinations and drug abuse, Nina portrays the Black Swan to perfection, receiving a standing ovation from the audience. An intensely passionate drama, Black Swan deserves to be watched.

Sam makes an impression on Joon by his eccentric ways, which resemble the antics of the great silent movie comedian, Buster Keaton. Benny finds that Sam and Joon have fallen in love with each other. When Benny finds this out it creates a rift in the siblings and they try hard to accept the presence of an odd newcomer in their relationship.

Hugh thinking they both need to get away, takes Cathryn to their house in the country, where Hugh indulges in his hobbies, hunting and photography, and Cathryn works on a book of fantasy tales for children. Soon Cathryn begins to see apparitions of the late Rene around the house while confronting her feelings about the late Rene and the wandering Hugh. Marcel, the couple's friend, who has an attraction for Cathryn, arrives for a visit, with his daughter Susannah. As Rene's appearances become more vivid, Cathryn begins to drift deeper into a fantasy world, not able to distinguish the real from that which is not real.

Kristen has no memories of her life but strongly believes that she should not be at the mental institution. She notices that the girls in the ward are disappearing and that her tormentor is causing these disappearances. As evil lurks around the corner, Kristen, realizes that the ghost might be more evil than anything that she could ever perceive. The movie constantly shuttles between reality and hallucinations until it is revealed in the end that Kristen is imaginary and the ghost, real. A shocking plot and a must watch.

Storyline : What would you do if you came across a prodigious musician who is schizophrenic and homeless? The Soloist is a 2009 drama directed by Joe Wright. It is inspired by incidents in the life of Nathaniel Ayers, a musician who dropped out of Juilliard because of his bouts with schizophrenia. Foxx plays the tormented musician and Downey portrays Lopez a journalist who discovers Ayers and decides to write about him. Not content with just telling his story, Lopez goes the distance with Ayers. He persuades his friend Graham (Hollander) to help rehabilitate Ayers through music. He also brings Ayers' sister to meet him. Towards the end it is implied, that although it appears that Lopez is helping Ayers with his condition, it is Ayers who has changed Lopez's life. Ayers is not healed and still hears voices, but he is not homeless anymore thanks to his new friend.
