Storline : Carrie White is a shy young girl who doesn't make friends easily. After her classmates taunt her about her horrified reaction to her totally unexpected first period, one of them takes pity on her and gets Tommy Ross, her boyfriend and class hunk to invite Carrie to the senior prom. Her teacher Miss Collins comes to Carrie's rescue and takes special permission from the principal to excuse Carrie from gym class for a week. In spite of this, Carrie experiences a trauma due to her classmates' ridicule and harassment. Carrie uses her special power(telekinesis) to destroy the gym, kill her peers and teachers.

Storline : A young couple, Joe and Claire are celebrating their reunion with a picnic, Just as they are about to open the bottle of champagne a hot air balloon in trouble drifts into the field. They find the only passenger a little boy is too scared to jump off. Joe goes to rescue the boy when the wind rushes into the field and makes three of the rescuers airborne. All but one including Joe mange to drop on to the ground. The only man falls to his death. This has greatly impacted Joe's mind, however the boy escaped safely. However, when Joe goes to retrieve the dead man's body he has some more unpleasant things in store like Jed feeling intensely connected to Joe.

Arthur Edens, one of the firm's senior partners has a nervous breakdown while taking a deposition in a lawsuit against a major agrochemicals company. Clayton goes to bring him home from the hospital and soon learns that Edens not only has doubts about defending the lawsuit but that the company may be acting on its own to ensure a positive outcome

While all this is happening , a police officer, Martin Prendergast( Robert Duvall) is on the hunt for him,who is facing frustrations of his own. The end of the movie has an interesting twist .. worth a watch.
