Storyline : An unknown and lethal virus has wiped out five billion people in 1996 and only 1% of the population will survive by the year 2035 and will be forced to live underground. A convict reluctantly volunteers to be sent back in time to 1996 to gather information about the origin of the epidemic, which he finds out is spread by a mysterious army of twelve monkeys. He locates the virus before it starts mutating since scientists want to study it. Unfortunately the convict is mistakenly sent to 1990 which is six years earlier and is arrested and put in a mental asylum where he meets Dr. Kathryn Railly, a psychiatrist, and Jeffrey Goines, the insane son of a famous scientist and expert in viruses.

Storyline : The explosion of a space shuttle while returning to earth carries along its fragments an alien virus that recodes the human DNA. Nicole Kidman as a psychiatrist observes the change in the behavior of her client first and later in her ex-husband who after being infected with this fungus like alien life form act cold, emotionless. The story soon becomes a fight of a mother trying to protect her son while she attempts to rescue him from her ex-husband but gets infected in return. She is aware that the extra terrestrial epidemic could cause you to become emotionless automatons and works only when asleep and tries all possible means to keep her awake. In all this she discovers that her son was vaccinated for chicken pox and was immune to the disease hence she also becomes a finder of the solution to the epidemic. After a huge loss of near and dear ones, the movie ends with the epidemic eradicated and those infected had no memory of behavioral change at all.

Storyline : A post apocalyptic science fiction movie “I am Legend” is about the last man standing on the face of planet earth diligently waking up every morning to find out if there were any survivors who needed help. This hair raising horrifying movie is a new genre of Zombie movies where you learn how a man made biological disaster could result in a virus resulting in normal people turning highly aggressive and ultimately blood thirsty zombies. Brooklyn Bridge is the area with highly infested residents who are referred as “Dark seekers” due to intolerable pain to UV radiation. The man made virus was researched initially to cure cancer but Dr. Neville played by Will Smith sees a loss that results in him losing his family and many others to the virus. As the last man standing he reaches saturation point with no positive results in finding the cure and loneliness eating him up. He loses his faith in God but that’s soon restored when he finally finds a cure at the cost of laying his own life.
